Sister Circle UK

I would like to welcome you to my new coaching group.

I am so excited about this as it's been part of my vision for a long while now and I am so happy to be able to get it started.

As you know my own personal history has been one of abuse from an early age which had left me with some emotional trauma that resulted in me doubting myself and my own worth even as an adult.

While working in the substance misuse industry I quickly realised that a lot of our service users had had similar experiences as children and had turned to drugs or alcohol as a coping mechanism. I didn't go down that route but the ones I did were just as reckless.

Thankfully, I had an early childhood encounter with God which meant that even when things were really bad something inside me made me carry on and I am glad I did.

Through God's grace I have managed to change my life around from someone who was full of shame and guilt, self loathing and people pleasing because I didn't think I was worthy or deserving of a good life or to be happy. I have experienced domestic violence, bankruptcy, racial abuse, victimisation, discrimination, 2 broken marriages, house repossession and I am sure there is more...lol, but I think that's enough.

The point of sharing all this is to show you that nothing is impossible with God and that once we truly want to change our life around we can. With hard work and determination to do the inner work on myself I am now a trained counsellor and certified life coach enjoying life on my terms and knowing my true worth without needing validation from others to assure me that I am ok. That's my story but yours may be different, however, I believe we all have things in our lives which may have taken some of our confidence , made us feel a little anxious or need assurance at some point.

As women we are so busy taking care of others but who is taking care of us? Why do we feel so guilty if we are doing something for ourselves and taking time out of the busy routines we have? The question is rhetorical as we never answer it but it's our turn to give ourselves the time and space that we need as women to be empowered.

Phew !!, I hope you are still reading because it only gets better after this.

After a recent trip to Jamaica, I got involved with some wonderful ladies who invited me to speak at a Ladies seminar. I was so excited and felt honoured to be asked to do that.

After that they invited me to their weekly meetings, coaching and empowering their members and that is how Sister Circle Ministry Jamaica was born.

We started off with 4 members in December and have now grown to 15. It's run by zoom, a buzzing whatsapp group and regular coaching videos that I create and share as well as a monthly newsletter that I produce.

This is a group of amazing women who use this group to motivate, empower and share experiences as well as build new friendships.

This is my vision for us here that we continue to empower and motivate each other. That we care and support each other's goals and act as accountability partners to one another by encouraging each other to be the best versions of ourselves and that we do this with fun and laughter and do not judge each other or look down on one another but be respectful, friendly and kind. Although this is initially done over zoom, I imagine that as the weather changes we can plan trips, lunches, picnics etc... whatever the group wants to do.

Still reading?... great...lol I know this is a lot but just thought a bit of background would be interesting.

I am looking forward to getting to know you,

Love n blessings,

Roxy x
